Lynda Raven Brake in 1988 received a BFA in studio art in Oil Painting from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She lived in New Mexico for 14 years painting the landscape and people of the land. In Santa Fe, New Mexico at Southwestern College received a Masters Degree in Art Therapy in 1999. Lynda believes art as therapy . She was a signature member of New Mexico Watercolor Society and the exhibit chair for two years.
Lynda moved to Vancouver, Washington 20 years ago. She became juried member of Southwest Washington Watercolor Society, Signature member of Northwest Watercolor Society and a member of Oregon Society of Artist. Life and the art community changed for Lynda in 2017 when she lost her husband. She moved to senior living community and has shared her art work there.
